After a decade on the West Coast, I’ve returned to my New York roots, poised fork in hand. Frequent visits over the years always included tantalizing meals in this city of culinary wonder and when I moved back I couldn’t help but be extremely excited (and incredibly overwhelmed) by all the wonderful eating opportunities that New York has to offer. Whether there was an intriguing restaurant that had just opened in the last month or an institution that had been around for years, my eyes were wide with anticipation and hunger. I dug in, quite literally.
